TrueHue is built to be private. Your camera images are processed entirely on your device, and TrueHue has no servers, no accounts, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
When you run an analysis, TrueHue uses your camera to detect the features of your face on your device, using Apple's on-device Vision framework. The photo itself is never uploaded and never saved. TrueHue keeps only a small set of non-identifying numbers describing the detected features, plus the generated result text. Nothing about your image leaves your device.
Your results (the text, the detected feature values, and the date) are stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, they may sync through your own private iCloud account so they are available on your other devices. We never receive, see, or have access to this data. You can export or delete your results at any time from within the app.
The TrueHue Pro unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase handled by Apple through your App Store account. TrueHue receives only the transaction status needed to unlock the feature; we never see your payment details.
We do not collect personal information, we do not track you, we do not show ads, we do not use third-party analytics, and we do not sell or share any data. TrueHue does not require an account, an email address, or your date of birth.
TrueHue is not directed to children under 13.
TrueHue is a personal styling tool. Its results are not medical, psychological, or other professional advice.
